Bob Nalbandian from the Shockwaves Skull Sessions sent me an email asking me if I would be interested in featuring one of their interviews conducted with Terry Ilous earlier this year on the MMP. I asked why? He said, “Dude, I’m working on a Inside LA Metal Documentary, and have no time. I have over 50 hrs of material to edit and need to pump out some of the interviews that I conducted for the Shockwaves Skull Sessions Podcast before it becomes out of date”. I’m like, coolio. Send it over.
So, here it is. An interview conducted by Bob Nalbandian’s buddy, Carl Alvarez back in February 2013. Terry Ilous (XYZ, Great White) talks about how the process of recording and promotion has changed over the years. Stories about the Sunset Strip in the early 90′s. As well as talking about how he faked his first performance with Great White.

Ghost Live Bootleg 4/25/2013 Regency Ballroom San Francisco CA. I started off the night at Mogura. A small hostess bar located in Japan Town. Lost track of time and ended up missing the first 23 min of the show. The concert experience was more like a Mass. 飲み屋さんのママさんと美味しいお酒を飲んでいたら思わずライブに間に合わない時間になっていて、とりあえず最初の二十三分間を見逃してしまいました。今までに経験のした事の無いようなライブ体験でした。半分の観客は少し不気味。こいつらマジでヤバイかも？って感じ。ライブ楽しんでください。

Dokken Live at The Rodeo Club in San Jose CA 9/9/2012. Michael Butler’s band “The Butlers” opened up for Dokken. He was kind enough to invite me to the show as his personal Assistant.
The deal was, I carry his bass, he gets me into the show. There is a reason why this became a Bonus Episode. The audio sucks.
